Dyslexia 101 @ Educational Therapy Center

Join us for Dyslexia 101 on Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 9 to 11 a.m. at
Educational Therapy Center, 171 English Landing Dr., Suite #110 in Parkville, MO.

The Educational Therapy Center is offering a two-hour program to help educators and learn more about dyslexia.  This information is comparable to what public schools now are required for annual staff training on dyslexia.

The dyslexia specialists from ETC will offer training on the following topics:

What is Dyslexia? What it is Not!

Needs of Dyslexics at Various Ages and Stages

What to Teach, How to Teach and How Not to Teach

Effective Use of Technology

Participants will receive a copy of the International Dyslexia publication,  “Dyslexia in the Classroom, What Every Teacher Needs to Know.”  Other resources will also be made available.  This training will be open to teachers from a variety of private schools in the Kansas City metro.  Various types of resources used to effectively remediate students with dyslexia will be demonstrated.

If a school would like to discuss holding this training at their campus, please contact Lorrie Wolf at 816-584-8860 or Lorrie@etctutoring.org.

Early registration by January 16, 2019 is $50/person.  A minimum of 8 participants is needed with payment to ensure the class will be held.  Late registration is $60/ person.  Check or credit card payment is acceptable.
